Fundraiser for Women in Need of the Ozarks

The Women In Need of the Ozarks (WIN), a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization established in 2003 to provide working women with a one-time gift of assistance in a time of crises. Applications are reviewed by the WIN Board and financial grants are given as a hand up (not a hand out) to women who are not receiving any type of
governmental aid.

For the past several years, the Springfield Business Journal has partnered with WIN to host a silent auction fundraising effort during the annual 20 Most Influential Women event. Last year, the event raised over $9,400 dollars and 15 area families were helped. This year, due to economic hardships, we hope to raise even more in an effort to assist local families in our community. Please see link below for ticket information to the event.

As a member of this community and someone who has probably known a friend or have a family member who has been in a crises situation, please consider a donation of an item or financial gift to help women who are in need of a relatively small amount of money to make ends meet during a difficult time. All proceeds directly benefit qualified recipients as there are no paid employees or office expenses—WIN is an all-volunteer organization.

All donors will be recognized at the SBJ’s 20 Most Influential Women Event on October 10, 2014, and will also receive a printed acknowledgement in the event program. We will also provide you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

We appreciate your consideration and any donation that you can make on behalf of women and families in the Ozarks.

If you have something to donate that we can use at the silent auction, please fill out this form and fax to 417-841-4380 (Attn: Debbie Elwood) or email to debbie_elwood@empirebank.com.
